Memorial Day Reunion

We hosted the first annual memorial day family reunion. It was a multi extended family reunion including the Gwinup side of the family as well as grandma greats sister Marion's whole family tree. We counted about 50 people altogether that came to our house. It was a great gathering and so fun to mingle with everyone present.  The families that were there included:

Gwinnup Family:
Stacey Fry and 3 boys
Jane Cox and 4 boys

Marion Routsong's tree:
Greg
Annie
Cari, husband and daughter
Brett, wife and 2 kids
1 more brother

Martha Routsong tree:
Bill & Linda Routsong
Nate, Tara, 5 kids
Mike, Kim, 6 kids
Melissa, John, Madison & Jace
Beth, Abe, 3 kids

What a fun gathering. We had some crazy water balloon fight and the kids Doug in a huge pile of sawdust for quoins. That was a tradition when Nate's family was young and we wanted to bring that tradition back. We plan to have this be an annual family reunion in every memorial day.

Last Day of school

The last day of school! Jaxton has finished third grade and will move to upper elementary next year. Cooper has finished second grade and Kaylee has finished pre-Kay. Kaylee will be a full day kindergarten next year. I can't believe how quickly they are growing.  The last day of school is always so much fun. I got to help Kaylee's class with their field day activities. They had shock, cornstarch slime games, crafts, water games, and all sorts of fun activities for them to do outside. Then we had lunch together and she said goodbye to her class and teachers. We walked over to see the lower elementary messy games for their last day activities. The lower elementary had all kinds of messy games involving whipped cream, went water games, but Gabby, donut games. They got pretty messy but had a blast.  We are glad for summer to begin and also look forward to next years adventures at Oak Farm.

Preschool Graduation

We had a fun graduation party for the little preschool graduate. They got graduation caps and cupcakes. The kids have had a really fun preschool year with committed moms. I'm grateful for the fun and the Learning that took place.  The group was:

Keagan, Aubrey, Jonah
James & Dawson

What do you want to be when you grow up?

Here is Jaxton's Second Grade Class.  They went to the Leo Park.  His teachers were Michal & Suzy.  Jaxton is in the front center with his head tilted down.

Simplx Cares Food Pantry

For our Simplx Cares event, we went to the post office on Independence Drive.  They had us sorting canned foods and packaged foods into proper bins.  Of course this was a fun one for the kiddos.  And we got some service in!

Future Baller??

Nathan may be a future soccer star.  He put on Jaxton's soccer cleats and he chases soccer balls all over the house.  "Where...Go?  Where... Go?"  He will always ask where the ball went.  He also will make baskets whenever he sees a hoop, no matter what kind of ball he's got.

We're having a baby!

That's right! Baby number six. I just cannot even believe it. I cannot believe that Nate and I are interested to yet another human being in our care. What an overwhelming and yet exciting assignment for us. We discovered that we are having another baby boy! So we will have five sons and one beautiful daughter. That is basically a basketball team and a cheerleader. I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a mother yet again and though I am a bit overwhelmed by my obligations to all six of my darling children, I also am grateful and I love every single one of them so very much.  Went well this little baby boy look like? Red hair? Blond hair? What kind of personality will he have? Every single one of them has been so very different. It is exciting to see what else we can create. We look forward to meeting this new baby boy around Halloween time of this year.
