Cousin Jared

Cousin Jared came to live with us for the summer and work for Simplx.  Of course Jared is so much fun to play with when he is off of work and on the weekends.  There are full blown jedi battles in the backyard and wrestling matches in the living room.  We have grown to love Jared very much!!

Coop Sparrow

Cooper got all made up and created a wig to look like pirate Captain Jack Sparrow.  He looks a lot like him!!

Tin Caps Baseball Camp Out

We went to the Fort Wayne Tin Caps Baseball game with the Elliott family.  It was Scout Night, and after the game we set up tents and slept on the baseball field!! Nate took home Dawson & Nathan, but Jax, Coop & Kay and I stayed the night.  They put a movie on the jumbotron and we had a really great time camping on the Tin Caps Field!

Kaylees Dance Recital

Kaylee was in her first dance recital. She started dance in January, a jazz class with a couple other cute girls. They learned a routine to funky town by Alvin and the Chipmunks. She was nervous but excited and loved going to her jazz class is. We weren't allowed back into the dance floor, but we could watch her on a TV screen in the studio lobby. She was always jumping around having a great time.

When recital time came around, she was nervous for the dress rehearsal. There were two dress rehearsals to prepare for the actual recital. So through practicing at that rehearsals, she was confident and excited. Onstage she was so darn cute. She shit her little hips and smiled so big. She said she was not scared at all. I am so proud of her. I'm glad she has such confidence and we enjoyed helping her have this experience.

Musical Instruments

At the Kids event, there were musicians sharing different instruments with the kids.  They each got to try a few different instruments and it was so much fun!  Lots of smiles on their faces!

First Race Ever

The kids participated in their first race ever.  It was a kids 1 mile run and we ran with them.  The olders ran on ahead and we found them at the end.  Maybe this will blaze a trajectory with some of our kiddos with a love for running!
