Oak farm had their first Color run fundraiser. It was actually a blast! They had all the kids wear white T-shirts and they ran laps around the wellness center parking lot. Initially, we were supposed to pledge a dollar amount per lap that our kid hoped to accomplish. Since we had five kids joining the Culler run that was a little tricky to pledge. This first year was kind of an experiment so we went with it! It turned out to be so much fun! The Elementary kids ran first. Then the middle school kids, and then the high school kids. At the end, they sprayed everybody one last time with tons of Chalk color!

Kaylee at Prom
Oak Farm is such a small school. The prom is for the entire high school. That means Kayleigh, as a freshman, gets to go to! It’s so much fun to go get fancy, all dressed up like a princess and go dancing! Kayleigh and I went shopping for her dress kind of nonchalantly with all the boys. We stopped in to get some shoes and figured that since we were near some other stores we may as well stop in and just see what they had. We stopped in TJ Maxx, and Kohl’s to no avail. The boys tagged along through the stores. Across the parking lot with David’s bridal. I wasn’t sure they would have prom dresses so we peaked in their window and they had all colors in the window. So, we left the boys in the car to bicker and fight and Kayleigh and I went in to look at dresses. They were beautiful dresses. All kinds of styles, colors, and sizes. She needed the smallest size they possibly had in stock. And she wanted something with a corset top that tied in the back. We found a few options and settled on this beautiful masquerade princess dress. As a plus, it had pockets! So she wouldn’t need a purse to carry anything in, and the pockets don’t even show! The boys continue to bicker in the car and I would check on them about every five or 10 minutes while she was trying on dresses. We made our purchase and she was thrilled! She’s such a beautiful young woman, and it is so fun that she gets to get all dressed up for this event!
Kayleigh did not have a date for prom, instead she and her friends all went together as a group. All these cute girls, getting all dressed up, nails done, updo, all fancy to go dancing together.I took Kaylee and autumn to take some photos before dinner. There were some little girls across the street in Kendallville, who thought the girls were princesses and were chewing and eyeing while we took a photo shoot. It was really sweet. They went to dinner at Saint James, for tradition. And then I took them onto the dance at the barn in Albion. They had a fantastic time!
Cooper’s Senior Prom
Cooper asked Ellie to his senior prom. And he went all out for her! He went over to the Lowe’s house and cooked an Italian meal all by himself. He picked up Siana‘s breadsticks also. He set up a romantic table setting outside in the Lowe’s, beautiful patio backyard. He went to pick up Ellie and told her that they would be doing pictures at the Lowe’s mansion. She did not know we were there preparing the table. So I go meet her and we take 100 pictures out front of the house while Kayleigh and her friend autumn we’re getting things ready in the back. Cooper takes Ellie around to the backyard gate and she sees the table setting thinking it was for someone else. When she realized that it was for her and that Cooper had put it all together, her expression was priceless. It was a mixture of disbelief and excitement.
The prompt took place at a big beautiful barn event center in Albion. Pam from Cineplex agreed to design a matching corsage and boutonniere. It was fun to have Pam’s touch on the flowers. I think the whole night was a lot of fun for them and super memorable! Definitely a night to remember!
