Lake House Tubing fun

We took a weekend and spent it at the lake house. The kids each brought a friend and we enjoyed a slumber party at the lake house and tubing the next day. The water is beautiful, the sunset is beautiful and it is relaxing to be removed from home in a quiet and peaceful setting. It was really fun to spend that time with family and friends!

Courthouse Tour

For a merit badge, Dawson was invited to a courthouse tour, the Allen County courthouse in downtown Fort Wayne. We were able to learn all about the building, inside and out, and were able to sit in the courtrooms and hear from one of the judges About her experience in that courtroom. It was fascinating and the building is beautiful. They taught us all about the artwork and the symbolism throughout the building. What a neat opportunity.

Another Little Library at Camp

We had our last little library to install from a couple years ago in Cub Scouts. The kids were able to install it up at Camp Chief Little Turtle where we will see it every single summer for indefinite years!

Strikers Fall Tourney

Fall striker soccer was another great success. The strikers are a winning team always. The team plays so well together. We had another full Weekend tournament and won that tournament! The boys were so proud and so excited. Nathan is so happy to be a part of such an amazing group of people. Congrats Strikers!

Cross Country Season

The cross country season is so much fun. This year Nathan ran with the fifth and sixth grade team, Kaylee and Cooper ran with a high school team. So we had three runners this year! Nathan split his time between Oak Farm soccer team and the Oak Farm cross country team. He did Saturday cross country races while spending most of his after school time with the soccer team. Of course he was the fastest runner on the fifth and sixth grade and middle school teams because of his passion and athleticism.

Cooper and Kaylee‘s high school team was phenomenal this year. They had a new coach, a cop from Kendallville, who is a runner himself. He brought his running passion and his own running and trainings into the entire team. He ran with the team and pushed them beyond their limits. They did so good! He has been an amazing mentor to both Kaylee and Cooper this season.

Moving in to Purdue Lafayette

Jaxton decided to go to Purdue university in Lafayette for fall semester. He got assigned to Tarkington Hall with a dining plan and about 15 credit hours of classes. We drove down with Cooper and Kaylee to move him in with all of his furniture and belongings. It was fun to get him all set up and to help him move in. He immediately went off to gold rush week For orientations and to start his time at Purdue. We wish him luck and will miss him greatly but we know that he has great opportunities that lay ahead for him!
