Vacation in San Diego

We took a trip to San Diego after the summer ended to just get away and relax! It was our first trip with a little one on tow! We had a great time just relaxing and not having to worry about anyone or anything but us! We took Jaxton to the San Diego Zoo and went to Medieval Times in LA. We stayed at a beautiful tropical hotel right on Mission Bay. We could walk out the hotel doors and step right onto the sandy beaches of the Bay! It was gorgeous! Jaxton was a fan of the beach! He even thought the sand tasted quite good! He's our little beach bum! It was a nice break after a long busy summer!

San Diego Zoo
Jaxton learned how to drink from a straw at the zoo. Jamba Juice Smoothie! Yum!!
Medieval Times: Jaxton was so into all the action going on around him that he fell asleep in the middle of the show! Funny boy!

We visited Old Town San Diego where the city was originated. Believe it or not, the Mormons contributed greatly to the origens of San Diego. We visited the Mormon Battalion Monument, whcih tells the amazing story of the LDS men and women who traveled on foodt from Iowa to San Diego to secure the United States borders during the war with Mexico. Those same members helped start the San Diego city government. Others from the Battalion went north and contributed to finding gold at Sutter's Mill. Very interesting indeed!

San Diego is gorgeous with big old homes at the tops of the hills in unique neighborhoods. We wnt to a Spanish Cafe called Cafe Sevilla that served authentic Spain food like on Nate's mission. The last few nights we stayed at the Catamaran Hotel, a beautiful tropical hotel located on the shores of Mission Bay. We could walk out the hotel and be right on the beach! It was beautiful. Jaxton loved the sand and dug holes in it and tried to eat it! He had so much fun! The hotel offered complementary cruises across the bay and that was tons of fun too! Very beautiful! We took a bike ride around the bay with jax in a seat on the back of Nate's bike. He loved it, but fell asleep during the ride! :-)

Jaxton 9 months old

Jaxton is 9 months old!!! He is a little roly poly and can get around just fine without even knowing how to crawl yet. Who needs to crawl when they can just roll everywhere they want to go?! That's our little Jax. He is getting cuter day by day!! Every time he sees another little baby or little kid, he gets so excited. He tries everything to get their attention, waving his arms, raising his voice and screeching in their direction. He just loves other little baby faces. It is so fun to watch him get so excited. This is one of his most recent photos we got taken. Yes, he is already a basketball star like his dad!
The other day we had a rotisserie chicken for dinner. Jaxton wouldn't eat much chicken, but he absolutely loved to naw on the chicken bone like a little puppy! What a cutie! He nawed off all the meat and sucked that chicken bone dry!! Cute boy!

New Baby on the Way...

We are expecting baby #2 on February 2, 2008! Jaxton will be a big brother! These two will be about 15 months apart, which I think will be just perfect. Jaxton is dying to have a playmate, and will love having another little baby around to play with. We are so excited!! We could not figure out our due date, so we did have an ultrasound done that determined the date of Feb. 2. I was only a little over 12 weeks when the ultrasound was done, so technically it is too early to tell whether it is a boy or girl, but some of the pictures we got from it, definitely looked BOY! Here is a full body shot of the little one inside!

Mom & Me

Jaxton is about 8 months old! He can clap and wave and is really learning how to get around. If he sees something he wants he will squirm every which way on his tummy to reach it. He is such a joy in my life! I have never experienced joy the way I have experienced joy in a child of my own. Jaxton is the joy of my life. He makes everything worth working for and living for. Nate and I have been so blessed! I love you Jaxton!

I'm Standing!!!

Jaxton has learned how to stand up! It's been a challenge, but he has figured it out! And he is so proud of himself! He pulls up on things now and loves to walk along them, like the tv stand or the couch. He will walk along and hold on. It is so fun to watch him learn new things and then see him feel joy when he knows he has accomplished something new! Great job Jax! We love you!

4th of July 2007

Happy 4th of July!! We went to a big barbeque at my parent's neighborhood. Tons of people. The kids enjoyed all the bustle and all the people. My mom got the kids all their Independence Day attire! They are all so adorable!! Proud to be an American!!

3rd Wedding Anniversary

For our third wedding anniversary, we took a little getaway to the beautiful Park City, Utah. We got to stay in the cute downtown area of Park City and walk the shops. We left Jaxton with Grandma Hutchinson, the first time we really ever left him overnight. The next day we went river rafting down the Park City river. It is actually a very calm river, so it was more of a relaxing float, rather than a whitewater adventure. It was just enjoyable being the two of us together! Happy third anniversary to the Love of My Life!!

Jaxton is 7 Months Old

Jaxton is 7 months old! Wow he is getting so big! Here are some cute shots from his 7th month. He is so fun to dress up, I love it!! I love his green monkey shirt and his brown sandals! And we got him the movie, CARS, from Disney. He sorta watches it but I think it will come in handy in a few months. But we found a CARS outfit. We actually bought it before he was born, around when the movie first came out! We just couldn't pass it up! So here he is wearing his CARS shirt and hat. He is supposed to look like a car mechanic. What a cutie!!
This is Jaxton's first friend, Audrey Glauser. She and Jaxton are about 3 months apart. They were friends before they were born!! Melissa (Audrey's mom) and I are good friends and were there with each other through both of our pregnancies and deliveries. These 2 are destined to be great friends. Maybe we can arrange a marriage in about 21 years!

Fashion Show

Here is our little 7 month old cutie. Grandma Hutchinson got him his darling basketball jersey outfit. Its complete with his baby sized basketball! Another of my favorite outfits for him is this blue overalls outfit. Perfect for summertime! What a doll!
I picked up this jean jacket before Jax was even born. Grandma Hutchinson picked up this plaid shirt and all together, it makes a darling outfit! What a handsome fellow!!

Daddy & Me

Jaxton & Daddy. I think they are a lot alike sometimes. Jaxton is such a social little baby, telling everyone hi everywhere he goes, strangers or not. He loves other babies and other kids, just as social and friendly as can be! That sounds a lot like Nate! He loves his daddy too, so much! Here they are with their church socks on on a Sunday afternoon...

Swimming in the Sun

We have family membership at the American Fork Fitness Center, which is super fun in the summertime! They just built a huge lazy river and splash park area perfect for kids. It has a sloped beach on it so even Jaxton can play in the 2 inch deep water and splash around. He loves it. This day, we took Jaxton together and went swimming with him. He had so much fun!! The water was a whole new world to him! What fun!!

Fun in the Sun

Summer is just about here and it was warm enough for a day at the pool! That is, a blow up pool in our backyard! Amanda, Jaxton's cousin joined us and we had a fun day outside in the sun. Amanda is 1 year older than Jaxton who is 5 months old.
