Daddy's Race

Nate participated in a triathalon for the first time ever.  It was very exciting!  He had to prepare by practicing swimming, biking, and running.  Running is easy for him, cycling is a bit newer, and swimming has always been more difficult.  So he trained hard in the early mornings to prepare for this race.  He also enjoyed shopping for the right gear and equipment for this type of athletic event.  

On Race Day,  Nate left early to prepare.  The kids and I arrived to see him transition from Biking to Running.  He didn't expect us there, so it was exciting for the kids and fun for him to have a large fan base.  Then we went to the finish line to wait for him to finish.  The kids ran after him and acted like they were racing too.  He did a great job!  He beat many of his friends that were much younger than him.  It was a learning experience for next time, and next time I plan to do it with him!  Go Nate!

Afterward, we celebrated  by going out to a huge yummy breakfast as a family.  It was a great time!
