We spent Father’s Day weekend up at the lake house for two nights. It was a special weekend where we were able to forget the schedule and simply spend time together as a family. Jaxton came home for the weekend and we got to connect with him as well. It’s rare for our whole family of eight to be together these days with the crazy schedules that we have going on. So it was extremely special. We played a lot of volleyball, cooked up some steaks and cheesy scalloped potatoes, baked cookies and roasted s’mores in the kitchen. We played Uno and other card games. Melissa and John and Jace and grandpa joined us for steaks on Sunday afternoon. We went out and went tubing on our pontoon boat and of course, that was a highlight!
We are so grateful for Nate and for the father figure that he is in our family. He does so much for us and it was fun to be able to celebrate him this weekend and really focus on the family. Happy Father’s Day, Nate!
