Cub Scouts Blue and Gold 4/25

The Cub Scouts end of the season banquet, the Blue and Gold Ceremony was our final Cub Scouts event for Nathan and Dawson. Dawson earned his Bear badge and will move into Webelos in the fall. Nathan earned his Tiger snd will move into Wolves in the fall. I was the Tiger den leader and it was tough juggling that responsibility with everything else going on, but oh have I grown to love those first grade Tigers. I’m proud that they stuck out the season with me snd I enjoyed seeing their excitement each week. Their parents have been fantastic too.

Dawson’s den is small and those kids have become good buddies too. I’m grateful fir Mark, his den leader who has been great for him the whole time.

So glad to get Monday nights scouts off my calendar, but looking forward to fall when we will start back up again, and Owen will be a Lion ☺️

Field Trip to the Downtown Library 4/29

Dawson and Nathan’s class went on a field trip to the downtown Fort Wayne Library and I got to chaperone. Dawson’s closest friends were our group, and they are a joy to hang out with! Siddharth and Alyssa and Dawson. I enjoyed spending time at the library with them and at Promenade Park!

Oak Farm Fall Fest 2022 4/29

Oak Farm had its annual Fall Fest! The middle school cooked up pork burgers made from the pigs they raised. They served “dirt pudding” which Owen had saved up for and looked forward to all week. He earned $3 at Simplx and made sure to bring it and he paid for that pudding himself.

Jaxton worked the bike shop and introduced people to the work the high school does there. Cooper and Kaylee had to head off to a track meet. Dawson and Nathan found their friends and enjoyed running around with them. Owen introduced me to his group of “buddies,” Ira, Ezra, and Ted. They are a cute bunch of kiddos!
