Dawson’s Piano Recital

Dawson completed Suzuki book one piano lessons. He performed the entire book for a mini recital with Mary Todd. Mary has been a fantastic teacher. Dawson was unique in learning piano because he spent his early childhood years listening to all of the Suzuki songs over and over and over being played by his older siblings. Before we got him in piano lessons he had already figured out all the notes on both hands for several songs in Suzuki Book 1.  He learned them by ear because he did not know how to read music.  Dawson felt so proud to complete Book 1 before the end of the school year.
