Oak Farm Track & Field 5/23

Track season has officially kicked off. We are led by a great group of eighth graders! The coaches are super excited to see the results from the hard work they put in the off-season.

Your Falcons started the season on April 19th holding their own against two larger schools, East Noble and Norwell. The boys team placed in a few events:

Sully McCreery finished 2nd in the 100m.

Derek Hale placed 3rd in both 800m and the 1600m.

Cooper Routsong had a 2nd place finish in the long jump.

The following day they competed at Hamilton Jr High.

Ally Lazoff and Kaylee Routsong finished 2nd and 3rd in the 1600m. Grace Hale got a second place finish in the discus. 4X100 relay team did awesome collecting points for their team.

The boys were led by Sully McCreery with 2nd place finishes in the 100m, 200m, and discus. Austin Rohrs had a 3rd place finish in the 200m. Both helped the 4X100 relay team get a 1st place finish. Pierceton Matney got 4th in the 110 hurdles. Your Falcons are off to a great start. -Coach Diana

The season has been so great! Cooper’s final PR was a 5:42, which he is so proud of, and Kaylee’s mile beat her PR for 6:55! Pretty amazing.  This last picture of Kaylee shows to team aspect of Oak Farm.  They are cheering her on hard!  I love it so much. Both kids have been dedicated and excited for this sports opportunity!!
