We braved the mall on probably one of the busiest shopping days of the season. Normally I never go to the mall with 3 kids even when its not the busiest shopping season, so this was a brave move!! But, a very necessary one! Santa's mailbox was set up in Macy's and the boys have not seen him yet. The boys decided to sit down and write him a letter to tell him what they wanted for Christmas. With some coaxing, they decided that a bike would be a pretty cool gift from Santa's sleigh. So they both chose to write "BIKE" on their letter. Jaxton was sure to write the word "PLEASE" on his too. Kaylee sat in her stroller enjoying the "people watching" as dozens and dozens of all sorts of people passed her every which way. She was mesmerized by the commotion around her!!
As they finished their letter, they put their name on it and slid it into Santa's mailbox. They were confused why there were two slots. Two mailboxes? If the bottom one went to the North Pole, then where did the letters in the top slot go? I reassured them that the top slot was just for taller kids and that all the letters would fall into the bottom of the mailbox and get shipped off to the North Pole together. Satisfied.
